SHIELD-Development of a VET Training Program to upgrade the Skills on Health and Safety Risks for Offshore Construction Workers

This e-learning specialised course has been developed within the scope of the European Project “SHIELD – Development of a VET Training Program to upgrade the Skills on Health and Safety Risks for Offshore Construction Workers”, Project nº 2017-1-CY01-KA202-026782, funded under the Erasmus+ program (Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships), and developed between the 01/09/2017 and the 30/08/2019.

The Masterclass course for Supervisors of Oil&Gas Installations is composed of 21 chapters, encompassing a variety of areas within the Oil&Gas industry, both Offshore & Onshore. The course has been designed for all those with minimum experience in the Oil & Gas Industry and/or those wishing to pursue a career in the Oil&Gas Industry through a course which provides an in depth knowledge of all aspects related to Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) in the Oil&Gas Industry.

All 21 chapters are organized in sub-chapters to facilitate and direct the study in an easy and intuitive way. At the end of each chapter, there is a summary accompanied by a video about the subjects learned, and on which a test will also be conducted, in a quiz format – in this way the knowledge acquired in each chapter is assessed. Equally important, through the score obtained, you can know exactly which areas need more attention, that is, which chapters and/or sub chapters require more self-time study. Upon completion of the course, you will obtain a certificate equivalent to 33 ECVET, referring to a total of 330 hours self-study.
